The 27 km Banadad Ski Trail is the longest tracked skitrail in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA). The Banadad along with an additional 14 km of trails adjoining the Banadad is maintained by the Banadad Trail Association. Most of the funds to support the Banadad Trails are provided by the Minnesota DNR Ski Pass program. This program provides $7500/year of the $10,000 to $11,000/year needed to keep these trails open for skiing. The Banadad Trail Association must make up the difference.
