New Snow Last Night

The Gunflint Trail was blanketed with four inches of snow last night. However it is still too early to start grooming the Banadad Ski Trail. There is more brush to clear along the trail and the ponds, and water crossings have yet to freeze. Some of the smaller lakes like Hooker, Swamp and Little Ollie do have a thin ice covering.

The forecast for the first part of the week calls for temperature in the mid 30 with some snow mixed with rain. Then the night temps are going down into the lower 20s and teens and during the days not much warm with more snow. So stand by folks, maybe winter is about here!
