We have spent many crew hours working on getting the Trail ready for the 2025-2026 season

We have had serious trail clearing problems with downfall. We have cleared sections many times over. Over 20 crew days clearing.

We have the 1st 12km (from the East End going West, cleared) and 7km from the West End cleared heading East. See map

That leaves about 8 km that is uncleared and will not be open for the 2025-2026 season.

We have plans to continue our efforts to get the full trail open all the way through but just can't do it yet. We have scouted the unopened section and it has some very overgrown parts.

The good news is we had a great season last year and we basically have the same sections of trail open again this year.

We have all our equipment ready (big thanks to Carl and Mike at Rockwood Lodge) and have been waiting for snow and cold.

Since snow and cold finally has come so we hope to be out in the next few days packing the trail and then with enough new snow putting the single track Nordic trail in place. The West End will not be tracked/groomed or packed. Strictly back country skiing on your own but the West End lot will be plowed and open. The East End Lot will all be open and plowed also

Here a picture of our ready trailer and trailhead from a week ago (or so).

No pictures yet of current snow that is falling now.

In past years we have opened about this time also, so much depends on conditions.
